I'm Meelis Reha, a wood floor sanding craftsman. For over 25 years I have done only one job: sanding and finishing wooden floors. I come to work from Tallinn, and the working days are agreed in advance. I work out the price and I do the work myself.
The man who prices your floor is the one who sands it
Jüri, who lives in Finland, answers the phone and handles contact in Finnish and English. He is not a salesperson: he passes your photos and questions to me. I speak Estonian, English and Russian.
I work out the price myself, and the quote states what the work includes and which products I use.
Then I come and do the work myself. The work is not passed to a subcontractor. On some jobs I may have a helper with me, but I am always responsible for the finished floor.
That way nothing gets lost in between. What was agreed is what I do.

How I work
These principles apply to every job, whether it is one room or a whole house.
- I work out the price from the photos you send. Before starting I check the floor, and if it turns out it cannot be sanded, no work is done and nothing is charged.
- If maintenance oiling is enough for an oiled floor, I will tell you honestly. Full sanding takes off some wood every time and is not always worth doing.
- I recognise careless work straight away: circular marks, edges left darker, or corners the machine didn't reach. I don't leave these faults on a floor I've done.
- I don't rush: the floor is sanded as many times as needed until the surface is smooth. I do the corners by hand. Before finishing, I check the surface against the light.
- I sand almost dust-free: the machines collect the dust straight into a bag.
- The quote states what the work includes and which lacquer or oil I will use.
- You pay the final bill only after we have inspected the floor together.
- After the work I explain how to look after the floor. The warranty runs for 2 years from handover.
- My working hours are Mon–Fri 8:00–19:00.
Machines and materials
I sand with Wirbel and Bona machines. They collect dust straight into a bag, so there is practically no dust in the room.
The lacquers come from Bona, Osmo and Berger-Seidle, and the hardwax oils and oils from Osmo. The abrasives come from Mirka and Tempest, and the tools from Mirka, Osmo and Makita.
